Dear David,

I wonder if you can help me please. I am looking for information about a man from PRZEMSYL named Boruch Josef PRITSCH. He was hung in Auschwitz after an unsuccessful escape attempt. I am specifically trying to find a photo on behalf of his 80 year old daughter who has never seen his face. Apparently no photos have survived in the family.

I have been able to amass a great deal of info about his immediate family (originally from Strzylki) who went to Vienna, Paris and Israel but not so much about Josef himself.

I am wondering whether you have any experience of working with/ the availability of the following in relation to Przemysl:-

- Pre-WW2 emigration our passport records

- School/gymnasium records

- Holocaust era registration/ deportation records (Josef passed as non-Jewish and seems to have lived outside the ghetto, but was sent to Auschwitz after a minor infraction)

- Records of Zionist youth organisations (photos specifically)

I am also wondering if you know of a local researcher or historian who is knowledgeable about the Jews of Przemysl and might be able to help further my research.

Any guidance would be gratefully received. Thanks in advance.
